Dheen Dayal Upadayay : Grameena Kausalya Yojana Inaugurated in Don Bosco Tech Centres in Kerala

The most outstanding Skill Training Project rolled out by the Kerala Govt in Collaboration with Kudumbashree is being implemented by Don Bosco Tech in Kerala. This is an ambitious project to skill 2200 youngsters within one year and to place them in a job with a decent and sustainable salary.

Don Bosco Tech, Kerala has launched the project in 10 centres across Kerala with the first batch of students already in ‘making’. There are three months and six months courses currently running in the institutions like DB Tech Vaduthala, D B Tech Mampetta, DB Tech Sultanbathery, DB Tech Punaloor, DB Tech Puthiyathura, DB Tech Vaduvanchal, DB Tech Mala, DB Tech Palakkad, DB Tech Chullikara and DB Tech Sreekandapuram. Intense preparations are on in setting up DB Tech Alappuzha (Arathumkal), DB Tech Idukki ( Kumali) and DB Tech Angadikadavu. Varieties of courses offered are Computer, Electrician, Automobile, Retail, Hospitality, Business Process Outsourcing etc.

The official inauguration of DB Tech Vaduthala was held on 25th September 2015. Mr. Kochousep Chittilapplilly, MD of V-Guard and Mr. Hibi Eden, MLA were the dignitaries who graced the occasion. Fr. Antree (Principal), Mr.Ratheesh Kanhilery (State Co-odinator) and one representative each from parents and students were present at the podium. In the inaugural speech the guests emphasized the importance of skill training and appreciated the initiative of the government in the education sector. Shri. Hibi Eden unveiled the DDU- GKY logo. Fr. Antree presented the memento and CNC Student Charles presented framed photos which were drawn by him. Ms. Anu Abraham gave the vote of thanks.
