“Skill Training enhances Employability and creates Job opportunities for youth” says Home Minister of Kerala

The various skill Training courses started at Don Bosco Tech Mampetta under the Dheen Dayal Upadyaya: Grameena Kaushalya Yojana, were officially inaugurated by Mr. Ramesh Chennithala, the Honorable Home Minister of Kerala on 1st September 2015. The Minister said in his inaugural speech that “Skill Training enhances Employability and creates Job opportunities for the youth of Kerala”. He urged the youth to make good use of this opportunity. He was inaugurating the six months Skill Training courses at Don Bosco Tech Mampetta which is a nation-wide project for skilling the youth between the age group of 18 to 35, rolled out by the Govt of Kerala together with Kudumbashree. M.L.A Sri C Moyinkutty was present at the occasion.

The Coordinator of Kudumbashree District Mission, Mr. Muhammed Basheer T P gave a brief narration of on DDU GKY project and explained its implications in the society. Mr. Jenson M Joy, the District Consultant of   DDU GKY spoke about the functioning of DDU GKY in the district.

Fr. A.M. Jose (Executive Director of Don Bosco Tech) addressed the gathering on the relevance of skill training at the current scenario of the country. Fr. Giby Jose (Principal, Don Bosco College) welcomed everyone to the function. Fr. Shibu Davis (Director and Principal of Don Bosco Tech, Mampetta presided over the function.
