Don Bosco Tech Society is very active and vibrant in implementing NSQF (National Skill Qualification Framework) program in 57 schools through BREADS Bangalore. All the trainers have acquired handful knowledge about the process of Don Bosco Tech. To reach out to more students, the state team has taken new initiative by introducing life skill sessions in government schools. The life skill trainings were started with Class X students.
Many schools responded positively. The first program was conducted in Govt. P.U. College (for all 10thstd students) with the topic ‘Career Guidance, time management and extracurricular skills’. It was conducted by Fr. Maria Anand SDB, coupled with input sessions, group activities and audio-visual presentations. The Vice Principal of the school was all in praise for the sessions that was so effective in motivating the students to focus on their career with much more enthusiasm and commitment. Similar programmes were conducted in another seven schools.
The sessions were conducted in two batches with 50 students in each batch in order to facilitate maximum benefit for all the participants. The sessions were well received by the students and the staff. There was good response from the participants and was appreciated by the teachers. The interventions, we hope will give opportunities to the students for their integral growth and personality development.
