The Tuition Centre Students of DB Kollam, visited Children’s Home, Kollam, on 8 March 2015. The visitors comprised of around 100 catechism students led by Fr. Thomas Meckaden, the Parish Priest, and Sr. Anita FMA, Principal of the Catechism Department. The Director of the Home welcomed the visitors and spoke elaborately on the work done there. He tried to clarify the doubts raised by the visitors. The 57 inmates from class three to those studying at undergraduate levels are from difficult backgrounds. They are provided shelter and safety from the evils of their social settings.
The catechism students exchanged gifts, study materials and stationery and also shared sweets with them. They also staged some cultural entertainment items. After some party games and sharing of views the children came away happy to have been part of the movement.
