Women’s day was celebrated by the FCDP (Fishermen Community Development Programme) and TMS (Theeradesha Mahila Sangham) jointly on 7 March, 2015 at the FCDP hall. Ms. Honey Benjamin, the honourable Mayor of Kollam was the guest of honour. Fr. Sunny Uppan sdb presided over the function. Sr. Mary FMA also shared her views on the present situation of women India and particularly in Kerala.
A seminar was held on the topic “Ammaye ariyaan” (to know a mother) on this occasion. A small gathering, Lucky dip, and exhibition of photos of previous events were also conducted.
