Swach Bharath (Clean India) Campaign at Hospet

Swach Bharath was organized by Don Bosco, Taruni, on 11 December 2014. It was to promote hygiene and cleanliness in families, schools and public areas. Miss Rani Chennamma, Councillor of 24th Ward, Hospet, was the chief guest on the occasion. Fr. Lawrence Rayappa (Director of Don Bosco), Miss Hema Reddy (Headmistress, Ambedkar School), MrsSavitri (Taruni President), Mr Chidanandh (Childline President) and Fr. Siju Enchacka (Administrator, Don Bosco) were present.
The Councillor promised to get the premises clean at the earliest. She requested all, especially the school children of Ambedkar, to deposit waste materials only in the waste bin. Other speakers too called upon all the participants to keep the environment and the premises of their houses clean. More than 150 children actively took part in the rally on Jambunatha Road and finally to Ambedkar School. The Taruni staff carried brooms in own hands as an example. A signature campaign too was held on the occasion.
