The project was started in the year 2010 at Harpannahalli Taluk in Davangere District. Don Bosco Child Labour Mission (DBCLM), Davangere is the implementing agency for this project. The aim of the project was to prevent child labour through the creation of sustainable community structures that would assume responsibility for the education of children and promotion of child rights. The project has initiated evening tuition classes in 20 rural villages, one bridge school for child labourers, community empowerment through self help groups, leadership trainings and awareness, child right promotion through the formation of child rights clubs, etc.
