Chitra Don Bosco organised the training under the Women Empowerment Project for the students of Government PU College, Chitradurga on 22nd and 23rd of September 2017. The training was facilitated by Dr. Isabella .S. Xavier, Sadhana Women and Child Welfare Society, Dharward. The interactive sessions covered the following topics- gender equality, the role and power of education, importance of women in the society and activities which contribute towards the empowerment of women. The training was oriented towards motivating and educating the young population from the rural areas to imbibe and understand the rights of women, the need of establishing gender equality in the society.
On 13/09/2017 Chitra Don Bosco conducted another training for the youth under the Women Empowerment Project. The programme was inaugurated by Fr. Maria Julian, Director, Chitra Don Bosco, Chitradurga, Mr. Vishwa Sagar, Director, Damma Vimukthi Samaste, Chitradurga, Ms. Kavitha, Lecturer, Pre University college, Jankonda, Mr. Suresh, Lecturer, Pre University college, Hireguntunur. A total of 33 students participated in the training. Mr. Vishwa Sagar, the resource person took the sessions on life skills, gender and sex, women empowerment and rights of women.
