Knowing my rights- Training for members of Self Help Groups in Ramnagara

On 27/07/2017 Don Bosco Yuva Marg, Ramnagara organized the training on rights of women for the members of the self-help groups.  About 40 members of self-help groups from different villages of Channapatna taluk of Ramanagara district attended the training. The training stressed up on the importance of knowing the rights of women and safe guarding it. The knowledge was imparted to the participants regarding the rights violations, protection of rights of women, women’s helpline number- 1091, gender equality, facilities provided for girl child and women by the state and central governments.  The crimes against women are increasing day by day. Though we have laws and provisions to tackle the crimes, the knowledge and awareness on the laws among women in villages are very minimal. Knowing the laws and rights will enable the women to fight against any form of injustice and violence.
