On 17/06/2017 Chitra Don Bosco, Chitradurga organized an exposure visit to JSW Steel Ltd, Toranagallu, Bellary district for the members of Self Help Groups as part of SHG/ IGP Project. The objective was to encourage women to learn, observe and understand the functioning and management of small business units and motivate to undertake income generation activities in their respective villages. 40 members from SHGs have participated and utilized the opportunity to study different units of production in JSW Steel Ltd such as tailoring, sanitary napkin and packing, paper bags, paper covers and jute bags. The exposure experience opened up the space for discussion and inspiration which will enable them to initiate such small units in their village settings. The visit could spark renewed vigour and enthusiasm and everyone enjoyed the study visit.
