The 32nd batch of skill training at Don Bosco Makkalalaya, Mysuru (implementing partner of BREADS Bangalore) was formally inaugurated on 15 December 2022. The ceremony was attended by the new batch of students along with their parents, and the staff. Don Bosco Makkalalaya offers three-month skill training courses in two domains—Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Retail Business Management—for youth aged 18-35 years. In addition to this, basic computer operations, Tally, spoken English, and life skills are also taught to enhance the productivity, proficiency and employability of the trainees.
The chief guest of the day was Ms. Naziya Sultana (Assistant Commissioner, Labour Department, Govt. of Karnataka). In her inaugural address, she motivated the students to follow their passion and prosper in their lives. Fr. Edward Philip SJ (Director & Coordinator of Xavier Sadan Retreat and Renewal Centre, Mysuru), and Fr. Siju Thomas SDB (Executive Director, Don Bosco Makkalalaya) also graced the occasion with their presence. The celebration was made much more interesting by the students’ various cultural performances!
