CHILDREN CELEBRETED CHRISTMAS AT DON BOSCO AJANAHALLI

The special programs at Ajjanahalli began on Christmas Eve. The buildup had started weeks back with waking up to Christmas songs, Christmas themed arts and crafts sessions, crib construction, carol practices, late night drama voice recording and dance rehearsals by children. At 5.30 in the evening the awaited celebration started with band and carol, the amount of noise made was sure to be heard in the fairly distant village. Santa Claus entered the scene with loud cheers from the boys.
After that very enjoyable warm up at 6pm rector Fr. Sony blessed the crib and unveiled it for all to see. Later visited the nearby colony settlement and include the residents in our celebrations. Children walked joyfully singing carols to the loud band putting smiles on everyone’s face and children from the houses joined the joyful rally. It was very hilarious to see some of the very young children running away from Santa not knowing what to expect from a big red suited man with a snowy beard and a stick. Once Santa began distributing cakes they found the courage to receive it and shake hands with the red Christmas friend. Christmas Day programme continued on 25th of December, 2015 with Fr Sony’s Christmas message and cake cutting along with community, visitors and villagers. Cultural program commenced without further due by dances performed by children from different age groups, Christmas songs. The wonderful Christmas message skit performance paid off the boys’ weeks of tirelessly preparation and practicing. Santa Claus made a surprise reentry to distribute cake and satirical gifts exchange and ended up with giving away gift hampers for staff, and a brand new set of sportswear for boys. The program ended with a sumptuous meal and a lasting memory in everyone’s mind.
