BREADS_DB TECH Youth Convention on the occasion of the Bicentenary of Don Bosco at Don Bosco Hospet

Around 250 youngsters from ten various DB Tech centers gathered together at Hospet on 6th Feb 2015.After the registration at 4.00pm, inauguration was held at 6.30pm in the presence of Fr. Joy Nedumparambil (Executive Director, BREADS Bangalore), Fr. Lawrence (Rector, Don Bosco Hospet), Fr. Sebastian (Principal, DB Tech Hospet), Fr. Siju (Administrator, Don Bosco Hospet) and other members of the organizing committee.
The second day began with the Eucharistic Celebration for Catholic and prayer service for non-Catholics at 7am. At 9.30am there was a session on Don Bosco and his Pedagogy by Fr.Lawrence. This session was knitted with audio-visuals, presentations and some activities. The organizers facilitated the gain of knowledge about Don Bosco by conducting aquiz. All the centers had prepared themselves well and the best ones grabbed the winning trophies. At 2.30pm various life skill sessions of 30min were held in four groups. The sessions were taken by Sr. Roshni, Mr. Clarence, Mr. Vincent and Mr. Patrickon Motivation, Personality Development, Positive Attitude and Leadership respectively.
Singing competitionboosted the youngsters to organize themselves in their respective group. It also gave opportunity to practice their leadership skills. All the groups participated in it actively. After supper exciting and thrilling BOSCO NITE was organized by the Brothers. It was the time of fun and all the youngsters participated with the best of competitive spirit. There was singing, dancing, yelling, hunting and so on. Finally we ended the two days convention with distribution of prizes and good night message by Fr. Lawrence.
The convention troop left for Chitradurga for the final celebrations of All Karnataka Youth Meet.
