Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS) Bangalore organised a state-level meeting cum training for the Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring (DREAM) programme district coordinators on 16,17 and 18 June 2022 at the BREADS office. A total of eleven staff were present for the training from ten districts of Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Wayanad, Kasaragod).
Fr. Rubin Mathew (Executive Director, BREADS) inaugurated the training by watering a plant together with Fr. Deepu Mathew SDB (Asst. Director, BREADS) and Fr. Mathew Kapplikunnel (District Director, DREAM Thrissur).
Fr. Rubin thanked all the project staff for their efforts towards the programme in the districts that paved the way for great impact and success. The training was animated by Ms. Cheryl Bartholomeusz (Manager, Research and Documentation, BREADS) to develop training modules for the effective implementation of the programme among children and youth. Ms. Cheryl brainstormed with the District Coordinators to elicit and capture their experiences and learnings from the field that would be a vital contribution to the content and design of the training modules.
