The Karnataka Interstate Migrants Alliance for Transformation (KISMAT— a BREADS’ project) extended its support to 50 migrant families, living in tents under very poor circumstances, in Horamavu, Bangalore; by distributing 100 sleeping bags on 22 February 2022. The KISMAT staff demonstrated how to use the bags while explaining its benefits.
The beneficiaries were very happy and expressed their gratitude to BREADS and the KISMAT staff. A short awareness programme on the safety and protection of children was also conducted for the community along with this distribution.
The local leaders highly appreciated the efforts to help those in great need and requested the organisation to extend its services to other communities.
