The Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP) Kollam and Theeradesha Mahila Society (TMS) have always initiated innovative programmes and events for the upliftment of women, children and youth from the coastal areas of Kollam district. Contributing to the same mission, it organised a workshop on Effective Leadership for the Don Bosco Youth Forum on 30 November 2019. The programme was led by Mr. Edwin Joseph- Managing Director, Winser Exports, Cochin.
The workshop focused on improving the leadership skills of young adults, reflecting the importance of timely guidance and need to understand one’s strengths and weaknesses. Mr. Edwin also provided much-needed information on courses and opportunities available in the fisheries sector. Group activities and presentations on various topics encouraged reflective thinking and team work. Fr. Joby Sebastian- Director, FCDP-TMS concluded the workshop with the feedback from the participants.
