The Government of Karnataka organized one day orientation programme in Chitradurga district for the representatives of press personnel on 6 July 2018. The program was conducted with the purpose to create awareness and empower the press personnel to their part and responsibility towards the protection and upliftment of children in Chitradurga district. Chithra Don Bosco was proud to be a special invitee to the programme. The participants included Fr. Sony, Director Chithra Don Bosco, fourteen representatives from child rights clubs and Cream project staff. The leaders of child rights clubs were privileged to interact with the media representatives and raised questions and ideas as to how media personnel can enhance the development of children through their interventions and timely interruptions. The training was conducted by Mr. Raghavendra Bhatt, UNICEF Koppala. The one day program took place under the guidance of Mr. Sankappa, Assistant Commissioner, in the absence of Ms. Josna, the District Commissioner. The delegates present on the dais during the program included Mr. Ravindra CEO, Mr. Srinath Joshy, S.P, Mr. Roopa Naik, Member, KSCPCR and Mr. Mahesh Babu, President Media Personnel and Ms. Vaishali, DCPO, Chitradurga.
