Child labour is one of the major problems in India, employing children for work that deprives of their precious childhood, curtailing the educational opportunities and causing harm to the children mentally, physically and morally. It is exploitative and even though laws have been formed the implementation of these laws on a strict basis not been effective. On 12th June 2018 the District Administration, Labour Department, District Legal Service Authority, National Child Labour Project, Childline, teachers, Anganwadi staff, parents, School Development and Monitoring committee, students, Don Bosco Pyar, celebrated the World Day Against Child Labour 2018 with massive rallies, meetings, public gathering, tableau, conveying the awareness and strong message against child labour. The people were educated about the need for safeguarding the rights to education and the importance of having safe environment for children for the holistic growth by enjoying the childhood. About 1000 people participated in the rally and public gathering.
