A regional level training was organized for the CREAM staff of 5 districts (Davangere, Ramanagara, Mysore, Bellary and Chitradurga) on 4th and 5th of March 2018 at Chithra Don Bosco Chitradurga. The two days training extensively focused on building power, skills and knowledge to work at the grassroots to effectively address the social issues. On the first day Mr. Suresh Mahadevappa engaged the sessions on deeper meaning and concept of activism and advocacy actions, followed by a session on the importance of documentation by Fr. Varghese Pallipuram. Fr. Joy Nedumparambil, Executive Director, BREADS concentrated mostly on evaluative discussion, orientation and refocusing the CREAM project components. On the second day the participants were more enlightened on the topic effective engagement with stakeholders for a comprehensive impact in addressing the rights of children and violation of child rights by Mr. Manjappa, CREAM Coordinator, Davangere. Thereafter Fr. Anand, Principal, Don Bosco state school, Chitradurga took a session on the role of youth to be the promoters of child rights. 30 social activists of CREAM project benefited from the two days training, gained momentum and revitalized the energy to deeply evolve in addressing the social issues.
