A team of 30 from Morgan Stanley, led by Mr. Raju Alluri – Managing Director, visited Bosco Vatsalya Bhavan as a part of their CSR volunteering activities. BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan is the one and only transit centre cum shelter home in Bangalore, exclusively for girls at risk, below the age of eighteen. Run by BOSCO Bangalore, a partner of BREADS, the shelter home rescues and helps to mainstream girls in need of care and protection.
The Morgan Stanley team volunteered to paint 8 exterior walls of the centre with child-friendly themes as a joint activity with the children. The children were very excited and were fully involved, right from mixing the paints to sketching and painting. The volunteers participated with much enthusiasm. The energy, talents and abilities of the girls were highly inspiring. This activity helped to create awareness and the volunteers became better informed and educated about the issues affecting society, especially children in marginalised communities. It also helped to create a sense of community among like-minded people who are passionate about making a difference in the world. It was a fulfilling day for both the children and the volunteers.
BREADS looks forward to greater collaboration with Morgan Stanley as its CSR partner, in creating a better world for children in need.
