On 27 February 2024, Don Bosco PYaR organised a health camp at Ittaga K Thanda, Kalaburagi, which is an economically deprived village with a significant prevalence of disabilities among its population. Dr Treesa from Mother Theresa’s Hospital, Kalaburagi collaborated in organising the health camp. The camp provided various medical services, including general check-ups, specialised care for disabled individuals, and the assessment and intervention for malnutrition. A total of 102 patients benefited from the camp including nine children and four disabled adults. This event was part of the project “Primary health care for the marginalised community in rural villages through mobile clinics” in Kalaburagi, supported by Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS).
