BREADS with the support of Avekshaa Technologies Pvt Ltd, trained 77 girls on how to apply life skills in their daily lives. The programme organised in DB BEST Academy, Lingarajapuram, on 24-25 October 2026, helped the children learn, reflect and express themselves creatively. Avekshaa Sponsorship Project supports the education of these girls, who are in Grades 3 to 10.
The training focused on building essential life skills through interactive and child-friendly activities. Sessions on communication, empathy, critical thinking, problem-solving, self-awareness and self-esteem encouraged the children to express themselves confidently, understand others, think independently and approach everyday challenges with greater confidence. The children also prepared Diwali greeting cards for their sponsors, as an expression of their creativity and gratitude.
An orientation for 42 parents of the children highlighted the value and importance of supporting children’s education and holistic development, which is the core mission of Don Bosco, the founder of all the work by Don Bosco Fathers across the world.
The Avekshaa Sponsorship Project supports the girls’ educational journeys by providing their educational needs, including school bags, uniforms, stationery and private tuition. Initiatives such as the life skills training adds to their holistic development by promoting their confidence and personal growth.
On behalf of the children and their families, BREADS Bangalore extends its sincere gratitude to Avekshaa for supporting the education and holistic development of these young girls. Together, we continue to create opportunities for children to grow with confidence, resilience and hope.
