The 19th skill training batch at DB BEST Academy (an initiative of BREADS Bangalore) was formally inaugurated on 19 November 2022. The ceremony was attended by the new batch of students along with their parents, and the staff.
The programme began with a prayer song by the students, the lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome address. The chief guests of the day were Mr. Michael Johnson (Operation Head, Friendly Realtors and Property Management, Bangalore), and Mr. Arun (HR Manager, Qmin and amã Stays, Taj Hotels) who are associated with the academy through its student placement services. In their respective speeches, the chief guests applauded DB BEST Academy’s efforts in assisting, elevating, and empowering underprivileged youngsters through three-month training courses and placement possibilities. Around 14 students from the previous batch also received their course completion certificates on the occasion.
Fr. Deepu Mathew sdb (Director, DB BEST Academy), Fr Sebastian (Rector, DBPH, Bangalore), Fr. Pooppana Jude Joseph (Asst Parish Priest, Don Bosco Church, Lingarajapuram) also graced the occasion with their presence. The celebration was made much more interesting by the students’ various cultural performances!
