Awareness Programmes by KISMAT Karnataka

The Karnataka Interstate Migrants Alliance for Transformation (KISMAT— a BREADS’ project) conducted different awareness programmes during November 2022 in various parts of Bangalore city.

All the sessions began with an introduction to KISMAT’s services for migrant workers, along with the distribution of pamphlets. It continued with awareness sessions on how to keep healthy and maintain good hygiene to prevent sickness and diseases. The sessions also included information about safety measures at work and government schemes for migrant workers. The migrants who participated in the programme were happy to learn about mitigating work-related risks that could result in higher incidences of occupational injuries and work-related diseases.
