A state level training for 60 CREAM staff was conducted from 31st March to 2nd April 2017 at Don Bosco Provincial House. Rev. Fr. Ittira Mondoth, the Rector of provincial house inaugurated the training. Rev. Fr Joy, the Executive Director of BREADS addressed and welcomed the participants. The staff from the ten districts of Karnataka (Bangalore, Bellary, Bidar, Gulbarga, Davengere, Mysore, Raichur, Yadgiri, Ramnagara and Mysore) attended the training. Mr. Raghavendra Bhatt, Mrs. KathyayiniChamraj, Mrs. Margaret Sampath were the resource persons and the training dealt with the following topics- Karnataka Panchayathi Raj Act (Amendment) Bill, 2014, ToT on the New Module on Human Rights, POCSO Act, JJ Act, Amendments to the Child Labour Act, Child Marriage Act. The training has helped the staff to sharpen the knowledge on the above said rights which in turn will strengthen their activities in the field. At the end of the training an overview of the CREAM project was explained by Fr. Joy.
