Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga under the CREAM project, has organised a district level network of child rights clubs on 24th April, 2018. The CRC leaders from various schools came together to discuss on the child rights issues relevant at the time. The CRC network gather the meetings often with the purpose of strengthening the advocacy actions under CREAM project, to evaluate the activities of child right clubs, to share the impact and to make future action plan.
The programme began by singing the state anthem. The ceremony was illumined by the presence of the esteem dignitaries and it was inaugurated by Mr S.B.Vastramatt -District Judge Chitradurga, Mr. S.R.Dindalkopp – Senior Civil Judge & Member Secretary, District Legal services authority, Chitradurga, Mr.N.B. Vishwanatha – Advocate BAR Association Chitradurga, Mr K.Virabhadrappa, -Secretary for Lawyer’s Association Chitradurga, Fr Varghese Pallipuram – Director Don Bosco Institution Chitradurga, Fr Maria Julian – Director of CHITHRA Don Bosco and CRC Leaders Arpitha and Bharath. The inauguration was followed by the distribution of taluk level report book to the CRC leaders. Mr. S.B Vastramatt, the District Judge addressed the gathering on child rights protection, the importance of childrenin our democratic system, about the laws pertaining to children and protection of child rights. The recent incident of an 8-year-old girl sexually assaulted, shooked the nation’s humanitarian values. The children and the dignitaries paused a moment in silence honouring, Asifa the victim of rape and violence.
