Samanvaya: Youth towards Holistic Growth, a gathering of nearly 250 participants from across Karnataka, marked a significant milestone for the Don Bosco Youth Services in the state. Organised in Don Bosco Hospet on 27-28 April 2024, the mega youth meet is part of the process of fostering an environment conducive to the overall development of youth.
Fr. Shalbin, the Vice Provincial, set a positive tone while inaugurating the Meet. The two-day event was packed with various sessions designed to engage, inspire, and empower the youth. The presence of many Salesian Fathers, Sisters and Brothers significantly boosted the occasion, encouraging active participation among the attendees. In the concluding ceremony, Most Rev. Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary, and Fr. Jose Koyickal, the Provincial, addressed the youth, imparting words of wisdom and encouragement.
The Samanvaya meet provided a platform for young individuals to come together, share experiences, and learn from one another and also helped create lasting memories. This mega event was organised under the proficient leadership of Fr. K.O.Varghese, the INK Youth Ministry delegate, along with Fr. Uday Kumar, the Youth Director of Karnataka, and five zonal Directors.
Samanvaya: Youth towards Holistic Growth was supported by BREADS as it fully aligned with its mission to transform people as agents of change through educative presence and accompaniment. Samanvaya underscored the importance of holistic development in nurturing responsible, well-rounded individuals capable of leading positive change in their communities. As the youth returned to their communities, they carried with them not just the joy of new friendships and learning but also, the motivation to contribute actively to their societies.
