CHITHRA Don Bosco celebrated the Founding Day of the training centre on 23rd August 2018. As Chithra celebrates the first anniversary, it takes pride in the developmental and welfare activities initiated and implemented through the project partners for the most downtrodden and marginalized in the society. The centre had a meaningful celebration of the event starting with a formal inauguration. The program began with a prayer song, lamp lighting by the delegates namely, Fr Varghese Pallipuram, Fr. Raju Philip, Fr. Sonychen Mathew, Fr. Antoniswamy, Founder of Famco (Family Development Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society LTD) and Mr Aloysius, C.E.O of Famco Puducherry. The joy of the day was shared by cake cutting. Further, the tremendous efforts and activities initiated by Chithra in the last one year was presented which reflected the positive impact it played on the lives of the beneficiaries. The Chithra staff, SHG women and DB Tech students marked their active participation and the staff deserves special appreciation for their dedicated and committed service.
