Don Bosco Bidar, in collaboration with the District Health Department and supported by BREADS Bangalore, organised a Blood Donation Camp on 9 October 2025 on its premises. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the life-saving importance of blood donation and to strengthen community participation in health and social outreach.
The event was coordinated by the Don Bosco Mobile Clinic team, which regularly reaches out to over thirty villages around Bidar with various health initiatives. Through their committed mobilisation efforts, the camp saw an inspiring response—forty individuals came forward to donate blood as a sign of solidarity and compassion. Participants were also provided with lunch, fruits and refreshments as a gesture of gratitude for their contribution.
This initiative demonstrated the impact of partnership between BREADS and Don Bosco Bidar, combining healthcare access, community mobilisation and social responsibility. Beyond the immediate benefit of saving lives, the camp fostered a spirit of humanity, solidarity and active citizenship among the local community.
