Job Fair Opens Employment Opportunities for Youth in KGF

BREADS, through the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DB JPN), in collaboration with Don Bosco ITI Robertsonpet, successfully organised a job fair on 28 August 2025, to empower young people through access to meaningful employment opportunities.

The initiative sought to bridge the gap between skilled youth and industries in sectors such as manufacturing, automobiles, BPO, retail and healthcare. The participation of six reputed companies—Honda India Pvt. Ltd., Wistron Corporation, Sagility India Limited, H1 HR Solutions, T.V.S Motors and Skanda Bikes Pvt. Ltd—opened over 300 vacancies to aspiring job seekers.

The response was encouraging, with 83 pre-registered candidates and 48 walk-in participants engaging with the company recruiters. By the close of the event, 33 youth were selected for employment, while many others were shortlisted for further recruitment processes. Beyond the statistics, the job fair underscored the positive outcomes of collective efforts in addressing unemployment and strengthening youth employability from the KGF Government ITI, Don Bosco ITI in KGF, and DB Job Placement Network in partnership with BREADS. It also highlighted the need to prepare young trainees with relevant skills for employment in contemporary workplaces, in addition to the technical skills that traditional institutions offer, an aspect that is very important in BREADS-supported skill training courses.

For BREADS and its partners, such initiatives reaffirm the mission of empowering disadvantaged youth by fostering sustainable livelihoods and contributing to community development.
