The Don Bosco Mobile Clinic takes Healthcare to Rural Children in Bidar

The Don Bosco Mobile Clinic supported by BREADS, organised health camps in Kappalapuru and Athiwala villages in Bidar, on 25-26 August 2025, extending vital healthcare services to these local communities.

At Kasturba Gandhi Balika hostel in Kappalapuru, 105 school children underwent general health check-ups, eye examinations, and received awareness sessions on the prevention of diseases such as malaria and dengue. Six children were identified with health concerns requiring further treatment and were referred accordingly.

In Athiwala village, 96 community members benefited from the medical camp that offered  consultations, with three individuals being referred to BRIMS Hospital, Bidar for advanced care. Medicines were distributed as required to patients in need.

The initiative met with warm appreciation from both children and villagers, who expressed their gratitude for the dedicated services of the Don Bosco Mobile Clinic team. Through such camps, BREADS and its partner, Don Bosco Centre for Social Action in Bidar,  continue their commitment to improving access to healthcare, raising awareness on preventive health practices and ensuring timely medical attention for vulnerable communities in remote rural areas.
