We are happy to introduce ‘The Baking Home’! This is another of the initiatives under the WELiVE Project by Breads Bangalore and Don Bosco Alappuzha. This Cake making cum Catering unit located at Sea View Ward, Alappuzha, was initiated by Ancy Sibi, Princy Sibi, Annamma, Alphonsa, Jayamol Jacob and Rosamma during the initial lockdown period last year. The rampant increase in unemployment and rise in family responsibilities and hardships during the pandemic motivated these women to earn a livelihood using their potential in baking!
Presently, WELivE Alappuzha is facilitating this group and assisting them with marketing and promotional activities to increase the visibility of the business, as well as helping them to rent a commercial space for the operations. This group of 6 members have attended the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) training and workshops to enhance their skills and are now registered under WELivE as an enterprise.
