Our most adored project, CREAM II has been able to achieve lot beyond the expectations to secure the rights of children which justifies the commitment we have towards children. Over the years, the children have taken the lead through their advocacy actions and making realistic demands for their rights. On 12 February and 18 February 2019 the CREAM staff conducted trainings for children with the prime aim of advocating for the rights of children. The trainings were conducted in two different schools, namely Govt. High school Ambalagere and Murarji Vasati School at Hiriyur taluk, Chitradurga district.
As the primary step of empowering children as decision makers and change makers they are imparted with adequate knowledge on their rights. On 12 February, 145 children were trained by the staff on child rights, the steps to advocacy actions and the Child Marriage Act 2006. On 18th February the CREAM staff Ms. Veena and Mr.Mahantesh visited the Murarji Vasati School at Hiriyur and organised the training for 245 children with the support of the school authorities.
