Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS) in association with Total Response to Alcohol and Drug Abuse (TRADA), organised a three-day training programme for the Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring (DREAM) programme district counsellors on 6,7 and 8 July 2022 at the Trada Institute of Social Science, Manganam, Kottayam.
During the training, 10 district-level counsellors and the state team of the DREAM project worked on their counselling skills, case formulation, use of ASSIST as a screening tool, and psychological counselling therapies such CBT, REBT, Art therapy etc. The training sessions were led by the TRADA faculty who are eminent in the field of de-addiction services. The training programme helped the staff to improve their strategies and skills to meet programmatic goals effectively.
