A workshop on “Mobile and Pornography Addictions in the New Digital World” was held on August 10th and 11th, 2024 at Don Bosco Provincial House. The workshop offered an in-depth exploration of the psychological and social effects of mobile and pornography addictions, featuring experts Dr Manoj Sharma, Mr Rajashekar, Dr. Sr. Jwana Sequeira, Dr. Dominic Dixon, and Dr. John Tharakan. Participants included educators, therapists, and community practitioners gained crucial insights into how these addictions impact individuals, especially the youth, and were provided with practical strategies for intervention and support. Through a series of interactive sessions and discussions led by experts, attendees were equipped with essential tools to promote healthier digital habits in their communities. The experts presented the latest research on addiction patterns, the influence of digital media on behaviour, and effective prevention and intervention techniques. Participants also received valuable resources, including guidelines for recognizing signs of addiction and developing effective support programs.
