Stop Child Marriage

Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga organised the Children’s Day at Molakalmuru, Chitradurga on 14.11.2017. The day started with the inauguration of Nisarga Makkala Okoota by Mr. Yogesh Babu, Zilla Panchayat member, Mr. G.V Lokesh, BEO,Chitradurga, Fr. Maria Julian, Director,Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga, Mr. Chandrashekariaha, Taluk Executive Officer, Master Bharath, Ms. Nayana, President,District Level Nisargh Network of Child Rights Clubs, Ms. Anuradha, President, Taluk level CRC, Ms. Paavani, Member, Taluk level child rights Federation were present for the inaugural ceremony. The inauguration was followed by a rally from BEO office to Gurubhavan by the children. 540 students from 15 Government schools participated in the rally spreading out the theme, “stop child marriage and save girl children”. In the event Ms. Anuradha, President, Taluk level CRC, Mr. Yogesh Babu, Member, Zilla Panchayat, Mr. Hanumantappa, Block Resource Centre Officer were honoured with the “Champions of Child Rights” award, recognizing their contributions to the promotion of child rights.
