Special gram sabha for children were conducted at Upregenahalli, Maradihalli, Bharamasagara, Madanayakanahalli, Kondlahalli, Konsagara, and Madakaripura in the district of Chitradurga. Nearly 1300 children participated in the special gram sabha. The children’s gram sabha paves the constructive platform for children to bring out the prevalent issues in their schools and villages. Children utilized the right to participation by questioning and raising the concerns regarding the availability of drinking water facilities in schools, construction of toilets, school compound walls, appointment of teachers, readmission of school dropouts etc.
