The much-awaited TCS World 10K Bengaluru was held on 28 April 2024. The ground was buzzing with energy. About 28,000 people participated in the run. Some ran for a cause, some for beating personal records and the rest for the sheer joy of running.
Cheered on by Olympic shotput medallist Valerie Adams of New Zealand and World Championship long jump medallist and Olympian Anju Bobby George, the Open 10K— the first category of the event—kicked off at 5.10 am. It was a thrilling experience which brought the community together for a cause.
BREADS was a participating NGO in the TCS World 10K for the cause of Shaping Her Education (SHE)—the education of 100 underprivileged girls from rural Karnataka. BREADS was able to raise a little over five lakh rupees for this cause. We are grateful to our generous donors whose contributions play a vital role in transforming the lives of girls from marginalised communities through education. Let’s keep running for this cause!
