Rescue and Rehabilitation of Street children from the railway platforms of Bangalore city.

  • The main aim of the project is to rescue and rehabilitate marginalized children from vulnerable conditions, to propagate awareness about child rights, child protection and the help line number 1098 among children as well as in the public eye, net working with various government officials and stake holders in neighboring platforms in order to smoothen the rescue and rehabilitation process and to do advocacy with railways with regards to children’s issues.
  • Under this project rescued 518 children from three railway stations of Bangalore city and rehabilitated them through family reunification, bridge school and institutional placement.
