Non formal skill training for marginalized young women was inaugurated at Don Bosco, Bablad, Gulbarga on July 13, 2015. “The skill training programme is a launching pad for the marginalized young women in the district to become earning members and self reliant individuals in the society”, said Basavaraj Varavatti, DCPO, Gulbarga. Speaking on the occasion, Pappamma Habalkar, CDPO, Gulbarga Rural said that mastering a skill will stand the women in good stead for the future.
The skill training programme that includes Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (ISMO) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) is implemented in collaboration with BREADS, Bangalore. The project intends to deliver skill training to 100 women in a year. The ISMO training would be conducted at Don Bosco, Bablad and ITES training at Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga.
