A medical camp was organised on 29 November 2025 at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and Morarji Desai Residential School in Kaplapura village, Bidar. The programme was organised by Don Bosco Bidar with the support of BREADS Bangalore to ensure early identification of health concerns among the residents.
The mobile clinic team carried out the health screening of the children and also offered them simple awareness sessions. A total of 112 girls from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya received medical checkups. Among them, 20 children were identified with skin-related concerns and were referred to BRIMS Hospital for further dermatological assessment. At Morarji Desai Residential School, 205 children were examined and 15 were found with similar skin issues, who were also referred to the BRIMS Dermatology Department for specialised care. The camp concluded with a shared sense of purpose as children received timely medical attention and essential health information.
This initiative reflects BREADS’ ongoing commitment to improving the wellbeing of vulnerable children and ensuring that early detection leads to better treatment and healthier futures.
