In Sidavandurga village, Chitradurga an awareness campaign- Me and my vote are not for sale was organized by Chithra Don Bosco under the CREAM project on 27.04.2018. The campaign was focused on to provide awareness to the people about their right to vote. The campaign spoke about casting the vote for the deserving candidates rather than influenced by money and power by making a free choice.
Mr. S.R.Dindalkopp, senior civil judge and member secretary, district legal services authority, Chitradurga inaugurated the programme. Mr. N.B.Vishwanatha, president, lawyer’s association, Chitradurga, Mr. N. Sannakotrappa, PDO, members and leaders of Self-Help Groups (SHG) were also part of the programme. Public distribution of posters and stickers, door to door awareness were made accessible to reach out to wider target groups in the village.
