The outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown created an inevitable impact on the skill training sector. During this time, conventional classroom trainings, work from office etc. became a thing of the past, and work from home culture, online classes, virtual meetings have become the order of the day. DB BEST Academy similarly adopted virtual training to complete the training of batch 11 while batch 12 was conducted online. The step–by-step unlocking of the country permitted physical classroom trainings in the state and thus DB BEST Academy is ready to take up new milestones in skill training while strictly adhering to standard operating procedures.
On 7 November 2020, DB BEST Academy organised the inauguration of batch 13. The parents’ meeting was also conducted at the same time. The current training is limited to the BPO sector with 43 students. The commencement of physical classroom teaching will be carried out with sufficient precautionary measures and social distancing. The students from batches 11 and 12 are also allowed to upgrade their learnings and to attend practical sessions during these months. The occasion was graced with the presence of Mr. Vinod Kumar and Mr. Santosh- Good Quest Foundation, Fr. K.C Sebastian SDB- Rector, Don Bosco provincial house, Fr. Joy Nedumparambil – Executive Director, BREADS, and Fr. Rubin Mathew- Director, DB BEST Academy.
The inaugural programme was followed by cultural performances of students and concluded by Ms. Agnes Kurian, Trainer CE & ITES, who proposed a vote of thanks to all the eminent guests who made themselves available even amidst the pandemic situation.
