The inauguration of the 20th skill training batch at Don Bosco BREADS’ Education & Skill Training (DB BEST) Academy on 25 February 2023, was a momentous occasion that highlighted the academy’s commitment to providing quality education and training to underprivileged young people.
The event was well attended by the new batch of students, their parents, and the academy’s staff. The ceremony started with a prayer dance performance by the students, followed by the lighting of the lamp and the welcome address.
The ceremony was made more special by the presence of notable personalities: Mr. Calistus (General Manager, Radiant Resorts, Bangalore), Mr. Prakash B (Zonal HR and HR South Head, Muthoot Finance Ltd), Mr. Rahul and Ms. Vineetha (Hitachi Energy). These guests were associated with the academy through its student placement services and training. In their speeches, the chief guests commended DB BEST Academy’s commitment towards providing three-month training courses and placement possibilities for underprivileged young people, thereby elevating and empowering them. During the ceremony, around 15 students from the previous batch also received their course completion certificates.
Fr. Rubin Mathew (Executive Director, BREADS Bangalore), Fr. Deepu Mathew (Director, DB BEST Academy), Fr Sebastian (Rector, DBPH, Bangalore), and Fr. Mathew Kapplikunnel (Rector, Don Bosco Mannuthy) also graced the occasion with their presence, adding to the significance of the event. The ceremony was further enriched by the various cultural performances of the students.
