The Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring (DREAM) programme was officially launched in Kottayam by Dr. P K Jayasree IAS (District Collector, Kottayam) on 22 December 2021 at Don Bosco School Puthupally, Kottayam.
DREAM was jointly launched by BREADS Bangalore and Don Bosco Puthupally in association with Vimukthi, Kottayam. Mr. Benny Sebastian (District Vimukthi Coordinator), Mr. Sooraj M (Circle Inspector, Excise Enforcement & Anti-Narcotics Special Squad), and Fr. Binu Scaria sdb (State Director, DREAM) graced the inaugural ceremony with their presence.
There were about 250 beneficiaries including children, teachers, and government stakeholders. During the programme, students of Don Bosco Central School, Puthupally performed a mime about drug addiction, communicating the theme effectively to the public.
The district office for the DREAM programme was blessed and inaugurated by Fr. Devassy Chirackal sdb (Rector, Don Bosco Kottayam).
