Don Bosco School, Angamaly is fully functional as a domiciliary COVID 19 first-line treatment centre from 2 October 2020. COVID 19 First-Line Treatment Centres are public health centres set up by the Government of Kerala to especially combat the COVID 19 outbreak and to strengthen medical infrastructure facilities. People who test positive for COVID 19 with the antigen test and are asymptomatic are admitted to the First-Line Treatment Centres. The centre functions under the Angamaly municipality and treats those people who have no facility for quarantine at home. The municipality takes care of the food and accommodation for the patients and the staff in the school. There are about 30 patients at the centre with eight nurses and eight volunteers work in shifts to take care of them. DB Angamaly in collaboration with the Salesian Cooperators and BREADS provided face masks, hand sanitisers, and hand wash supplies to all the patients and staff.
