On 28 February 2025, the Child Safety Net (CSN) team of Don Bosco Makkalalaya, Mysore, set up two child rights awareness kiosks at Rajendranagar Circle and in front of the bus stand at Rajendranagar Arch. Inaugurated by officials from the Special Juvenile Police Unit, CHILDLINE, the kiosks served as information hubs to educate the public on child rights, child marriage, child labour, child beggary, school dropouts, and child-related laws.
Throughout the day, more than 500 pamphlets were distributed by CSN staff and BSW student volunteers, engaging students, teachers, and the public. Officials from the local police station and child welfare department were invited as guests, reinforcing the importance of collective action in protecting children’s rights. The initiative successfully raised awareness and encouraged community involvement in safeguarding child rights and ensuring timely reporting of violations.
