Celebrating Womanhood on International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day was celebrated across the globe on 8 March 2020 as a mark of recognition of  women’s achievements. This year Women’s Day was celebrated with the theme #EachforEqual- An equal world is an enabled world. The students of DB BEST Academy, Bangalore used the occasion to express their respect for the women around them, who have influenced their lives with little gestures.

DB BEST Academy celebrated Women’s Day on 10 March 2020 with the students and staff of DB BEST and BREADS, Bangalore. The programme was hosted by the male students of the batch to make the day memorable and fun-filled for all the women in DB BEST and BREADS, including the staff and students. On the occasion, Fr. Joy – Executive Director, BREADS, Fr. Rubin- Director, DB BEST Academy & State Coordinator, DB Tech; and Ms. Lesilen Jose- Retail Management trainer shared insights about the importance of the day and women in each one’s life. Fr. Joy inspired the listeners to respect and honour every woman who plays a major role in society by ensuring her respectable status. Ms. Lesilen insisted that every woman pledge their respect to other women around them and thus make the world a better place for each other. Fr. Rubin felicitated all the women present and advocated a balance between career and family because without family support a women cannot achieve success.

Ms. Yamuna and Ms. Nethra – the past students of DB BEST shared their experience at the academy during their course and motivated every woman to pursue her dreams and goals by overcoming every challenge on her journey. The programme schedule included cultural events, games and two presentations portraying the importance of women in everyone’s life and the different roles they play in life. The event was memorable and fun-filled.
