BREADS is selected to be in the panel of the Advisory Committee and the Strategic Partners for the India Advantage Summit to be held in Bangalore in September. BREADS will present a paper and participate in the panel discussion on the theme of INCLUSIVE which is one of the five themes.
The summit creates a platform to bring together the bureaucrats who are in charge of the smart cities in South India and top corporates who bring in technology suited for smart cities so that they can share ideas and make deals. And the theme ‘inclusive’ will strive to include everyone to make the city smart, which would be the children, the migrant workers, the women, slum dwellers, etc. The city cannot be smart with broadened roads, Wi-Fi connections and solar lights alone; but when these sections of the society are taken care of and when they are smart too.
For BREADS it will be an opportunity to create visibility for the works we do across the province and to explore possibilities to work with the smart city (district) administration and the Corporates (CSR) who might be investing in these cities.
