BREADS was selected for training by the Social Academy of Learning by Toyota (SALT), a CSR initiative of Toyota Kirloskar Motors that promotes operational excellence for not-for-profit organisations. Fr. Rubin Mathew SDB, Assistant Director, represented BREADS during the rigorous training programme from 3-7 February 2020 that aimed at building organisational capabilities across the pillars of strategy, governance, beneficiary management, financial sustainability, people and capability, knowledge management, and quality measurements and improvement. The programme aimed to train NGO leaders to become more entrepreneurial and high-performing to create large scale social change and impact. The 5-day training was an excellent opportunity to express challenges, explore best practices, and develop capabilities by leveraging the expertise and strengths of sector experts and peers within the group. In September, BREADS was awarded a certificate of excellence after its assessment by KPMG to evaluate the effectiveness of the sessions conducted at SALT 2020.
